At the age of eleven, I came into the welfare system in Victoria, Australia.
I didn’t know how to spell my own name till I was fourteen years old, and when I started this book at the age of twenty-eight, I had to teach myself spelling. I had no hero or anyone to look up to. I had to be my on my own and take my own hand and walk this path of darkness alone. There are others out there, just think and smile.
